I attended the University of Denver where I received my undergraduate degree in Marketing. I went on to complete my master's in Marketing at the Institute of International Studies. Professionally, I have over 25 years in the field of marketing and financial management, including upper level marketing management at companies such as Wal-Mart and Target, and I am currently the VP of Marketing Strategy at another large corporation. I am bilingual (English/Spanish) and I am involved in several Hispanic business associations. My business experience gives me a unique perspective when tutoring, since I'm able to help my students see real life applications of what they are learning. I also believe that with the increasing population of Spanish-speaking citizens in the US, students who are able to converse with customers and other professionals in Spanish can have a distinct advantage over those who are not fluent Spanish speakers.
